Today was my Day Off. It was also the day that I finally was able to view the slavery museum of Liverpool.
The moment I stepped into the structure I was overwhelmed by emotion, though I have been aware of this flaw in history for quite some time I still felt like I was again hearing about it for the first time. Throughout the whole museum testimonials and comments were made about the topic from young, old, black, white, Tan and olive; It's amazing to hear your story being someone else's story for your story is their story and yours theirs.
And at that moment I knew exactly what my book would be based on.
