The Journey's beginnings
Monday April 30th
This day was crazy.I was told it is good to arrive at the airport 2 hours early especially if you are traveling outside of the country. So Katie( a friend also going abroad) and I were set to leave for the airport at 2:30. Our seating time was for 4:30 for our 5:00pm flight. everything seemed like it was going smoothly. We had to go pick up Katie's fiance so that he could drive Katie's car back down to Provo. The problem was when we went to go pick him up from his work, Vivint, he couldn't leave because he had to stay on for a call. We waited for about an hour. It was 3:35 when we finally left from Provo to the airport.4-6 is near the time of rush hour, so I really didn't think we would make it, but we did; with plenty of time to spare. I really feel that we were meant to make that flight.
You know when you get on the airplane and you wonder who you might be sitting by. well, I always do. For my first flight to Minneapolis, I sat by this man. He couldn't be more than 27 years old. I could tell he was a talker. Sometimes I'm a talker and sometimes I'm not. And at the moment I sat next to him, I wasn't.I was polite, but I regret not talking to him.
When you feel prompted to talk to someone, do it. People are important.
Tuesday MAY 1
My next flight was my final fight. London was my destination. I was seated with my buddies from the study abroad program for the next 8hrs. 9:00am UK time. Once we arrived we stayed in the train station till 9:00pm. It was a pretty interesting experience. I learned that in the train station, it is not free to use the restroom; it's 30 pence(about 50cents). 12am we were off on our journey to Liverpool in on our 2 hour train, but I didn't mind.

DeleteHave fun in Europe. You will find the people have a different worldview. I could live in London. It is still one of my favorite cities. Enjoy your journey and take lots of pictures and meet and make friends with people outside your group. That is the real value, when you go back you already have friends. Sekai
